Originally from London, Chris began studying the classical guitar at the age of 10 and won the young musician of Enfield competition at 18. His guitar tutors have included David Russell and Antonio Albanes, who he studied with at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He went on to achieve a distinction for his Trinity College Licentiate Recital Diploma.
Now based in Gloucestershire, Chris has been a professional musician for over 20 years, during which time he has worked with bands, theatre companies, guitar ensembles and as a soloist playing a wide range of styles including rock, indie, blues, soul, jazz, classical and flamenco. He currently teaches classical, electric, acoustic and bass guitar for Gloucestershire Music Service in primary and secondary schools and has appeared regularly on the judging panel for South Cotswold Rotary Young Musician of the Year.
As a soloist, Chris performs at weddings, celebrations and corporate events as well as the occasional public recital. He has a varied repertoire which includes classical, flamenco, baroque, romantic and jazz styles. His performances have been described as, " highly colourful and uniquely expressive, fully capturing the character of the music." *
